Silk Castellas-Cartwright is a ceramic and sculptural artist currently located in Melbourne, Australia. 

Silk began experimenting with ceramics in 2021 and it quickly became her passion. She now works full time as an artist and making social media content that inspires people to be creative. 

Through her practice she explores the duality of the subconsciousness in the developmental stages of youth and the disconcerting reality of life as a young woman in contemporary society. Her work consists of ceramics, sculptural lighting, mixed media sculpture and painting. 

     "My experience of femininity and place in society as a young female artist is expressed in everything that I do. This experience can be playful and fun, or gritty and disconcerting, and such is reflected in my art."

Silk has amassed a following of 1.7 million people across her social media platforms (@silkcartwright) for her artistic and fashion/lifestyle based content, and was named one of  "Gen Z's powerful rising new A-listers" by the Daily Telegraph in 2023.
